Three muscle groups you have never really used on purpose.

Your pelvic floor holds three muscle groups that can do considerably more than squeeze. A guided audio course in the Mindgasm app, led by music, teaches you to find them, tell them apart and turn them into a source of deep, full-body pleasure.

Start with the film

What if pleasure isn't something that happens to you,
but something your brain is built to generate on its own?

A short documentary · 18:45 min

Pleasure is much more than it seems, and a lot deeper than most people think. That is why we made a whole documentary about it.

It shows how the pleasure system in your brain works and the very different ways it gets triggered: the survival system behind it, the spots in your brain where feeling is made, wanting versus liking, and what meditation found out 2500 years before science could measure it.

Every claim is backed by peer-reviewed research. The full script with every source is on the site.

If you have tried kegel exercises

What a kegel routine teaches

Squeeze and release. Count the reps.

Useful for strength, and about as interesting as it sounds. Most people do it for a week, get bored of counting, and stop.

What this teaches

Feel and explore.

Which muscle is actually moving. Where the sensation travels. What changes when you hold softly instead of pumping. Same anatomy, an entirely different thing to do with it. This time the session ends before your interest does.

The three muscles

Everyone uses these muscles every day, mostly without paying them any attention. With a little focus, they turn out to be three distinct groups, and learning to tell them apart is the first real skill of the practice.

In the sessions, sound tells you which one to engage. Press play to hear the tone for each.

Group 1

Base

The one everybody finds. Roughly the muscle you would use to stop yourself mid-flow. If you have ever done a kegel, this is the one you did.

Nearly everyone finds it in the first session
Group 2

Center

Deeper, and easy to mistake for the Base at first because they tend to fire together. Learning to move one without the other is where the course starts to feel like training rather than exercise.

Nearly everyone finds it in the first session
Group 3

Top

The most challenging one to find. The course spends several sessions on it from day fifteen, because there are several routes in and different bodies respond to different ones.

Needs guidance, and often a couple of days

How a session works

Around 20-30 minutes, lying down or sitting, eyes closed. Everything happens through your headphones, guided by the Mindgasm app.

  1. 1

    Put on headphones

Each session is a guided meditation. A voice explains exactly what to do, step by step, combined with music composed specifically for the practice.

  2. 2

    Follow the sound

Subtle sound cues in the music tell you which muscle to engage and when, the voice tells you how strongly. No counting, no thinking about technique, you simply follow along.

  3. 3

    Notice what you feel

Each contraction leaves a small sensation behind. Your attention stays on it, and attention is what makes it grow. That is the meditation part.

Where it leads

Pleasure is a skill you can develop. The muscles you train for it are the same ones behind posture, continence and core stability, so every session works on both.

Deeper

Beyond a short, local peak, the sensation spreads and ripples through the whole body.

Longer

Waves of pleasure that last for minutes and keep building. With practice, attention alone can bring them back.

Strength and release

The muscles physiotherapists prescribe kegels for, plus reverse kegels on day twenty-six, so the floor learns to let go as well as squeeze.

Awareness

Muscle, attention and music start working as one. Knowing what is tense and letting it go carries well beyond this practice.

What the thirty days ask of you

  • One audio session a day, with a rest day every few days.
  • No conventional self-stimulation for the month.
  • No adult content.

The sensations this teaches are quiet ones. They stay buried while louder ones are running.

Days 1-7The first contact

Getting to know the practice, and your first pelvic floor workout on day five.

Days 8-14Finding the muscles

The Sweetspot and the Big Squeeze: learning to tell Base and Center apart.

Days 15-21The Top

Several sessions with different ways in to the most challenging of the three.

Days 22-30All three at once

Base, Center and Top together, pleasure waves, and reverse kegels to release.

The challenge is a one-time reset. We do not promote long-term abstinence: for thirty days you swap the quick release for a deeper, slower kind of pleasure, and your brain gets time to rewire around it.

Questions

How long before I feel anything?

Finding the Base takes minutes. Feeling something worth the name takes longer: some people connect in the first week, most need one to six months of regular practice, and a few of the most successful people here needed more than six. Thirty days give you the map.

Do I need any equipment?

Just good headphones. They really matter: the music and the voice carry the whole experience.

How explicit is it?

The tracks describe anatomy and sensation plainly and there is no visual content at all. It is audio, spoken calmly. It feels like a guided meditation.

Does it work for every body?

Yes. The app guides men and women alike, with instructions for both anatomies.

“I had no idea some simple contractions and the mind could produce such mind numbing pleasure. I’m addicted and excited to continue exploring.”

r/Mindgasm

“It built quite slowly, starting as a soft throbbing ball, eventually growing firmer into a large, shining, smooth pearl somewhere in my centre. Gently pulsing, pleasure rippling over its surface.”

Mindgasm Discord

“Waves of energy moving upward from the pelvis through the torso. It’s not metaphorical - it’s a distinct physical feeling, like effervescence moving through me.”

Reddit

“Heya, I’m still within my first month of fooling around with this, and boy… today I did have what I’d say is a noticeable sensation.”
